Mary Mapes: Stuck on Stupid

Porkopolis is trying really hard to minimize the "Stuck on Stupid" awards so as not to dilute its meaning. But some situations are just so blatant. Take for example Rand Simberg's Still Crazy After All These Years analysis of excerpts from Mary Mapes' (of Memogate) new book Truth and Duty : The Press, the President, and the Privilege of Power.

There's a section in Simberg's post that is off the charts with irony. Do not...repeat...Do not have any sharp objects, hot drinks or small children, that you're likely to drop, in your hands as you read his post. [ed: Damn, I just got these pants back from the cleaners.]

Yeah I read that excerpt this morning and am still amazed that anyone that clueless can end up wielding that much power.

That is such a dangerous thing. And imagine if there was no blogosphere.
