Flip Flop Alert

From The Keeler Political Report:

Being Minority Leader ChangesThings

2005: [Senator] Harry Reid against private accounts for Social Security

1999: Harry Reid for private accounts: "Most of us have no problem with taking a small amount of the Social Security proceeds and putting it into the private sector," direct quote from "Fox News Sunday."

This is how most Democrats who claimed there was a crisis in the 2nd William Rodham Clinton term felt, and when he supported the idea and spoke of saving Social Security in one of his SOTUs [State of the Unions] they stood and applauded. In 2005, when Bush is president they booed and tried to drown him out when he spoke. How times change.
