2003 to 2004 Pork in Ohio

Doing a simple search on the words ‘Cincinnati’ and ‘Ohio’ within the text of the two recent Omnibus Bills (H.R. 2673 and H.R. 4818) resulted in finding the Pork Barrel Spending items listed below. I've tried to create links for each of the relevant items to their respective web sites.

(+)

Note that spending in Ohio went up 80% ($2.3 million to $4.156 million) from 2003 to 2004. Let’s see...2004 was…was...it’ll come to me…it’s right on the tip of my tongue…an..,an…yes…an election year.

We don't need to go to the federal government to fund each of these items. Funding them with deficit spending that will be the burden of our children and grandchildren is irresponsible. These items could have been funded locally after some review and prioritization by local representatives that would have placed them into Ohio’s budget; which by the way has to be balanced every year.
