About the Program

Tim Harford uses economic principles and research to explain the reasoning behind rational behavior. He says that rational behavior is based on incentives and he looks at the rationality behind several topics, including race, voting, education, and marriage. This event was hosted by Politics and Prose Bookstore in Washington, DC.

About the Author

Tim Harford writes "The Undercover Economist" column for the Financial Times and Slate. He has been an economist at the World Bank. Mr. Harford currently hosts the BBC series "More or Less" and is the author of "The Undercover Economist."
