Must See TV: C-SPAN BookTV - Author Melanie Phillips discusses her new book, "Londonistan"

VCR and Tivo alert. C-SPAN Book TV will re-air a speech by Melanie Phillips; author of 'Londonistan'. Ms. Phillips provides insight from across the pond on our staunchest supporter on the war on terrorism. That is, staunchest supporter for now because Ms. Phillips argues that
... in an effort to protect minority rights, the British government has let those who wish to destroy Western society live freely within its borders and preach whatever they wish. She suggests that immigrants be required to accept basic norms of British society before they are allowed to live there and explains why she thinks that the problem is not getting the attention that it deserves.
From the publisher's description:

The suicide bombings carried out in London in 2005 by British Muslims revealed an enormous fifth column of Islamist terrorists and their sympathizers. Under the noses of British intelligence, London has become the European hub for the promotion, recruitment and financing of Islamic terror and extremism - so much so that it has been mockingly dubbed Londonistan. In this ground-breaking book Melanie Phillips pieces together the story of how Londonistan developed as a result of the collapse of traditional British identity and accommodation of a particularly virulent form of multiculturalism. Londonistan has become a country within the country and not only threatens Britain but its special relationship with the U.S. as well.
