The Open End: "English Only" Resolution Imminent at Statehouse

...It never ceases to amaze me that the same paragons of political correctness that bitterly fight segregation by race tacitly foster segregation by speech. This segregation leaves deep scars in the very communities such activists are trying to help, in the form of lost economic opportunities (good jobs in this country will never go to non-English-speakers) and social order and cohesion (it's hard to begin to understand one another when we can't even understand what we're saying to one another)...
