Cleland on Iraq: 'Plan For Victory is Not Working'

Senator Max Cleland's offers no solutions, just complaints in this Democratic Radio Address.

Let's see...what were those vote margins in support of the Iraq War? Ah, here they are: 77 to 23 in favor in the Senate and 296 to 133 in the House:

The measure passed the Senate and House by wider margins than the 1991 resolution that empowered the current president's father to go to war to expel Iraq from Kuwait. That measure passed 250-183 in the House and 52-47 in the Senate.
Any guess on how then Senator Max Cleland voted? (That ding-ding-ding sound is the winning bell ringing for you if you guessed 'Yea' without having to click on the link).

Porkopolis does not accept Cleland's premise that, "There is no strategy to win". President Bush has clearly said, "As Iraqis stand up, we will stand down". That's our strategy, clearly and succinctly articulated.

Do the legislative Democrats have a strategy other than packing up and turning tail? If so, then they should stop the politicing and back up their original votes with some constructive suggestions. Short of that, original supporters of the war like Cleland should stop the whining.
