A Film Missed by the Academy
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will be holding the Oscars this Sunday. Unfortunately it missed the movie 'Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles' though it was eligible. You can now catch this gem on DVD.
Director Yimou Zhang (known for his action films Hero and House of Flying Daggers) is an artist that paints a moving, cinematic tale on the canvas of China's remote Yunnan province.
On a scale of 1 to 10, it's an off the chart 15!
The San Diego Film Critics recognized it with Best Actor and Best Foreign Language Film awards.
