C-SPAN focuses in on Pork Barrel Spending

This morning on C-SPAN's Washington Journal, Brian Lamb interviewed Los Angeles Times Reporter Ken Silverstein. Mr. Silverstein has authored an article for the July 2005 Harper's Magazine entitled "The Great American Pork Barrel". (The web site has not published the July version yet. Porkopolis will update this post once it's available.)

In the interview, Mr. Silverstein goes into details on his investigative journalism that hones in on pork barrel spending in the Appropriations Committees of both the House and Senate.
Update: The July issue's contents are finally online, but disappointingly not the text of the article itself. 'The Great American Pork Barrel:Washington streamlines the means of corruption' is the cover story. Harper's needs to get with the program and at least make the contents of their articles availble online for a fee. Looks like I'll have to burn some fossil fuel in tracking down a copy of Harper's at my local Borders.
